The cohort, Spring 2027

Learn the Rules.

Five weeks. Eight people. We name what this is costing you, learn to tell a cultural rule apart from ordinary company dysfunction, and build one move you can actually use at work, with someone who reads what you send back.

A cohort,
not a course.

You can find the rules anywhere now. What is harder to find is someone who reads your specific situation, tells you which part is a rule somebody could have taught you and which part is just a badly run company, and then watches you try something new and tells you what actually happened.

The training already exists, and most of it stops working the moment you walk back into your own workplace. The workshop ends, Monday comes, nothing about how your team works has changed, and you are on your own with it again. That is not because the training was poor. It is what happens when nobody is still there on Monday.

That is the whole difference. The information was never the scarce thing.

01 / How a week works

You send me your work.
I write back.

A move you make once is a story. A move you repeat is a different career. What holds the repetition is not the system you go back into. It is having someone watch you try it, badly at first, and tell you what they saw.

Live

Two hours, once a week. Small enough that everyone speaks.

Materials

Short guides, tests, maps, book and video recommendations, held on a platform you keep access to. The live time is never spent reading things out to you.

Homework

Every week, sent to me privately. I read all of it and write back. This is the part that does the work.

WhatsApp

A space to share what you are finding, if you want it. Optional, always.

One-to-one

In week five, a private session with me on your own case.

02 / The five weeks

What we actually do.

Week one

Who you are professionally, and what you actually want

Where you actually are right now: your values, your strengths, what you mean by success. We use the Career Cycle: four phases, and most people are in two at once. The part that does the work is naming the thing you are currently doing that belongs to a different phase, because that mismatch is usually why you feel stuck. We open with ten minutes on what this has been costing you, because naming it is most of the relief.

Homework

Your Career Cycle placement, the values exercise, and one sentence naming your cost.

Week two

The method

Name the moment: the scene, not the pattern. Then the four tests that separate a cultural rule from ordinary company dysfunction: does it repeat, are insiders bored by it, does it still cost you even when everyone is kind, was the cost ever stated anywhere. Then the clash: the room's rule and the one you brought, side by side, without agreeing with either. Then the move, which is yours and not mine.

Homework

One scene, written out properly. Three things that have been bothering you at work, sorted into rule, noise, or mine.

Week three

The archetypes

Five patterns: the Doubter, the Decoder, the Uncounted, the Rehearser, the “Professional”. You take the quiz before we meet, so the hour goes on what your result got right and where it was wrong. Each one comes with a single move. And the thing that matters most here: the same behaviour can be an injury or a strength, depending on whether you are still yourself at the end of it.

Homework

Run your archetype's move once this week. Write what happened. Not whether it worked. What happened.

Week four

Case studies

We decode other people's situations together, which is where the method stops being mine and becomes yours. The core case is four versions of the same scene: passed over for promotion, no explanation given. In one of them there is no rule at all, and the honest answer is that it is a place worth leaving. Then real situations from the interviews, and one of my own that I lost.

Homework

Decode a second situation, your own or a colleague's, and send me both rules.

Week five

How the other side works, and where the line is

The dimensions of western work culture, so you stop decoding one incident at a time and start seeing the map underneath them. And then the question this whole programme raises: where is the line between adapting and disappearing? The answer is not simply be yourself, and not simply do what they do. This is also the week you get a one-to-one with me on your own case.

Homework

Your move, run twice. What held, and what did not.

03 / What you leave with

Ten things, and none of them
is a set of slides.

01

You stop carrying it as proof that something is wrong with you. Most people arrive half-convinced the problem is them. That belief is the first thing to go.

02

Better relationships with the people around you: colleagues, managers, supervisors and clients. When you can see what is actually happening between you and another person, you stop reading it as their character or your own failure, and you can do something about it.

03

A test you can use in any difficult week: is this a rule somebody could have taught me, a rule I brought with me, or a company that is simply badly run. The three need completely different responses.

04

Becoming a good fit in your company or organisation, without becoming a different person. You try real moves in your own workplace, more than once, until the way you work is understood as belonging there instead of being treated as a difference.

05

A clear picture of what you value, what you are good at, and what you actually mean by success. Plus your own pattern, and the single move that changes it.

06

A method you can take with you. This is not a guide to one culture. It is a way of reading any workplace whose rules you were never given: the next company, the next country, the next client.

07

Five pieces of your own work read closely and answered in writing, and a private hour with me on your own case.

08

Seven other people who do not need any of it explained to them. You cannot learn this in a mirror, and for five weeks you are not the only one who knows your situation.

09

Belonging, past the five weeks. In the Invisible Rules community your story stops being something you got through alone and becomes the thing that helps somebody else understand their own.

10

A portfolio at the end. Because you work on your own real situations rather than exercises, you finish with a written record of how you handled them, across communication, visibility, planning and the other areas this work covers. It says what you did and what changed, so it can be given to a manager, used in a performance review, or support a line on your CV and your LinkedIn skills.

04 / Who this is for

Eight places. They should go
to the right eight.

This is for you if

  • You are a non-western professional working for or with western companies or clients.

  • You have been navigating systems that were not designed with you in mind, and you know it.

  • Almost all of your work happens on a screen. There is no corridor, no face to read, no tone of voice. A message that could be understood in three ways is understood in the worst one, and neither side ever finds out.

  • You are doing strong work and it is not being seen, or it is being read as something other than what you meant.

  • You have started to wonder whether the problem is you.

  • You have begun pulling back. Gone quieter, gone colder, started looking elsewhere.

  • You do not want to figure out the rules alone, the hard way, over another five years.

This is not for you if

  • You want a list of the unwritten rules to read. You can get that anywhere now, and this is not that. This runs on your own situations.

  • You would rather not bring a real situation. The work is specific or it is nothing.

  • You are waiting for your employer to send you. Nobody is sending you to this one, and that is deliberate.

  • You are looking for general career coaching or confidence work. This is about one specific gap: rules you were never taught.

  • Your situation turns out to be ordinary company dysfunction with nothing cultural in it. If that is what I hear on the call, I will tell you, rather than take your money.

07 / Questions

The awkward ones,
answered plainly.

What actually happens in a week?

Two live hours together. Materials to work through on your own. A piece of homework you send me privately, which I read and write back on. In week five, a one-to-one on your own case.

How much time will this take?

Two live hours, plus four to five hours of your own work. The homework is the part that matters, so that is where the time should go.

Do I have to share my situation with the group?

This is optional. The work stays confidential: we do not share names or other identifying details. What we work with are specific moments from your work, described so we can decode the cultural pattern behind them, not full case histories. If you would rather not share yours with the group, you can do all of it through homework, sent to me privately, and I write back to you. There is a WhatsApp space if you want to share what you are finding with the others, and it is entirely optional.

Why only eight people?

Because the material is your specific situation, and I read and respond to every piece of it. More than eight and the feedback stops being real. Fewer and it is not a cohort. You cannot learn this in a mirror.

What is the difference between the free sessions and this?

In an hour I can help you name what this is costing you and decode one situation. What an hour cannot do is get you to run a move and keep running it. That takes repetition and someone who reads what you send back. That is what the five weeks are for.

What if my situation is not really cultural?

Then I will say so. Sometimes the honest answer is that a company is badly run, and no amount of decoding fixes that. Knowing which one you are in is week two, and it may be the most useful hour of the five.

How much does it cost?

420 euro, the founding members' price. If that is not workable for you right now, write to me and we will find a way to make it work. On the call I will also tell you honestly whether this is the right thing for you at all.

How do I join?

Book a short conversation with me. It will help you decide whether this is the right program for you.

08 / How you join

There is no form.
We talk first.

Book a short conversation. Tell me what has been happening. I will tell you honestly whether this is the right thing for you. And if it is not, I will say what would be.

Apply by booking a brief call with me. Eight places.
